Localization Expertise
At Providence, we planned and developed our localization services for the IT industry. As computer technology develops quickly and the Internet expands, the localization environment dramatically changes. In this rapidly changing environment, we at Providence are proud of our ability to satisfy our clients. We attribute this satisfaction to our expertise in localization.
In 1992, we established ourselves in pioneering
the field of localization. Since establishment, our mission has
been to serve as a professional localization service provider.
As well as document and software localization, we started web
localization from the early time.
In 1994, we broke new ground. We incorporated Internet into our
business. We acquired domain name Providence.co.jp, the first for a translation
company in Japan. At the time, we used Internet mainly to send and
receive email. Next, we built our website with our in-house server
to present ourselves to the public on the Internet. Harnessing this
experience, we localized
a significant number of websites for our clients.
We began using Translation Memory systems (Transit, TRADOS) to increase the efficiency of our localization process.
Today, our mission at Providence remains the same:
- To continue developing our services.
- To maximize our ability to serve as a total solution provider for localization.
- To continuously strengthen our technical and linguistic expertise, the skills required for localization.
